i'm just looking at your original thesis about not condoning war, and i think the biggest tragedy is that our supposed 'leaders' have deceived those who "volunteer" into thinking it's heroic and even necessary. the government makes everyone believe soldiers need to be in the east to protect our country. in reality, the soldiers are protecting the profit and lifestyle of the upper class alone; we're largely unaffected by what happens over there. our governments consist of the weakest cowards.
